L'image est granuleuse. Après la pose et le séchage, le papier peint semble se rétracter, créant un léger raccord entre les lés. Ou bien le papier peint n'est pas parfaitement droit. Le mur sur lequel le papier peint est posé est pourtant parfaitement droit.

Afbeelding is korrelig Na aanbrengen en drogen, lijkt behang te krimpen, daardoor toch een kleine naad tussen de banen ontstaan. Of het behang is niet helemaal recht gesneden. De muur waarop het behang is aangebracht is zeer recht.
