Always be at your favourite holiday destination with your own picture on wallpaper
The summer holidays are upon us again. And even though you might not be able to go to that faraway sun destination this year, Dutch nature and architecture also have a lot to offer. Either way, you will enjoy yourself this summer. Whatever your next holiday destination, make sure you capture the most beautiful places and moments with your camera. So that you can enjoy them again at home. In a scrapbook, photo frame or on photo wallpaper.
Yes, you read it right. At Wallart.com it is also possible to have photo wallpaper with your own picture printed. So get your camera ready and take the most beautiful pictures during your holiday. With our tips, it should definitely work.
# Be creative with the point of view: don’t place your subject in the middle
The composition of your picture is really important; because where do you place your main subject? Our tip is to place your subject not in the centre of your picture, but slightly more to the sides of the image. A good tool for this is the rule of thirds. You divide the image into nine equal areas with two vertical and two horizontal lines. Basically a kind of butter-cheese-and-eggs. By placing the subject on one of the four intersecting points, you make the photo a lot more interesting and exciting. You can also use your SLR camera’s grid lines for this.
Of course, you can also adopt a different position yourself by hanging over something small, taking the photo from a ladder or lying face down on the ground.
# Eye for detail
Some things are even more beautiful up close. Like a butterfly on a flower or the fruit on your cocktail. A macro lens can help you create a nice depth-of-field effect. Choose high apertures (F16 or higher) to get your subject completely in focus. And keep the background calm so that all focus goes to the main subject. This way, you can create a beautiful picture for your photo wallpaper. You can buy special macro lenses for your camera, but the latest smartphones increasingly have macro lenses too. Is the subject in focus and is the quality of the picture good? Then have your own picture printed on wallpaper.
# Go for quality: upload as large a picture as possible
Besides the composition and lighting of your picture, the quality is of course also important if you want your picture printed on wallpaper. Pictures taken with your mobile phone are usually not sharp enough. A sharp print should preferably have 1 pixel per millimetre. So a wall 2.5 metres high and 4 metres wide should be at least 2500 by 4000 pixels. The higher the resolution, the sharper the print.
