Your own picture on wallpaper: choosing the right one
A picture says more than a thousand words. That is why it is so important that the picture you have printed on wallpaper radiates an atmosphere you want to create at home. With soft (pastel) colours on your wallpaper, you create a soft, sweet and rural atmosphere. For example, by choosing a picture of blossom or your kids playing in a cane field. If you prefer a tough and industrial look, choose black and white architecture on your photo wallpaper. For example, with a picture of the Erasmus Bridge or your favourite shopping street.
Quality of the picture
If you choose to use your own picture, it is very important that the picture is of good quality. A sharp print should preferably have 1 pixel per millimetre. That means that a wall 2.5 metres high and 4 metres wide should be at least 2500 by 4000 pixels. The higher the resolution, the sharper the print. We therefore do not recommend printing a smartphone photo on such a large surface wall. Because then the wallpaper will become too pixelated. And that, of course, is a waste. But who knows, maybe the photo is sharp enough for a wallpaper circle. So always have your picture checked by our design team.
