What is mandala wallpaper?
A mandala is a geometric pattern that symbolizes the cosmos. It stems from Tibetan art and is widely used in Buddhism. The mandalas there often serve as meditation objects. When you meditate you can focus on the motif of a mandala. This often consists of a heavenly or divine palace in the center, surrounded by a circle with symbols and figures. Ranging from buddhas to ritual objects and – most famously – abstract forms. Mandala wallpaper is therefore simply a way to place a mandala on the wall.
Different types of wallpaper of mandala
Mandala wallpaper can be found in all shapes and sizes. From highly detailed mandala prints to abstract mandalas that have been enlarged. And from drawn mandalas with fine lines in black and white to colored mandala patterns that repeat themselves. From very light mandalas in beige tones, to wallpaper of mandalas in dark colors with, for example, black and gold. You will also find mandala wallpaper in the colors gray, green, pink and, for example, copper or rust. You can go any which way.
Styling mandala on wallpaper
When you have a mandala on wallpaper, you make a beautiful statement. It is the perfect basis for a restful space. Do you want to extend that atmosphere further? Then there are a number of things to keep in mind. For example, work with natural materials. Such as wicker baskets, bamboo furniture and wooden benches. Also beautiful: a rattan room divider to screen off your yoga or meditation room for a sense of concealment. Finally, you can of course also combine mandala wallpaper with Buddha images, incense and, for example, yoga mats, or meditation cushions.
